Pole Files Interview 14: Anastasia Skukhtorova Pole Dancer


My interview today is with Russian pole dancer Anastasia Skukhtorova. She is an amazing pole dancer with a graceful, theatrical style and captures an audience beautifully.

Lets hear from Anastasia.....





How long have you been doing pole dancing?

I'm doing pole dancing since December 2008. 3 years and couple of month.

The moment you realised you love pole dancing?

I was 18 years old. was looking for a way to be more feminine, beautiful,sensual.
And somehow the word Pole came to my mind. I thought why not? It's so interesting.so different. Nobody of my friends tried this.
And I decided to go. And fell in love.


Describe your style.

A lot of people told me that is a ballet on the pole. It's very funny because I didn't do ballet before pole dancing. And I don't have any experience in sport or dancing at all.
But may be its coming inside.from the soul, from heart.

Favorite move?

Rainbow and iron-x, Mexican.

Tools of the trade, what can’t you live without when pole dancing?

Can't live without good music. It must be something that toched you. Breathtaking. 

Any hobbies or passions outside of pole dancing?

Aerial silk and hoop. It gave me a lot of power.
Switzerland chocolate and italian coffee ;))

Can't live without?

Can't live without my family. my mum and Evgeny,my brother,my best friends. They helped me a lot in everything. So happy I have these wonderful people

Growing up I wanted to be a.....

President ;)) hihihi



Favourite things of all time:

Movie: Don't know the title in english. Cause in Russia we have different names. 

TV Show: friends. 

Musician: Tracy chapman 

Book: Russian books. Some books from Palanik,King And russian authors.Memoirs 

Magazine: don't read magazines.

Food: oh... Eat everything. Love food  yammi yammi

Designer: I don't have favourite. don't care about the name of the dress.

Pole Files Interview 13: Gemma Bardsley Pole Dancer


My lucky 13th Interview is with Gemma Bardsley. Gemma is an amazing pole dancer, she has extreme strength and a never give up attitude. Gemma has instructed me over the last 2 years and taught me so much. I want to thank Gemma for all her support and for being an awesome teacher.


How long have you been doing pole dancing?

4 1/2 years

The moment you realised you love pole dancing?

My first lesson

Describe your style.

Strong lines, Drops, Pretty moves, expressive and I like things to flow.

Favorite move?

All drops - I love the WOW factor and the adrenalin and all types of Butterflies









Tools of the trade, what can’t you live without when pole dancing?

Mighty Grip and Dew point

Any hobbies or passions outside of pole dancing?

Aerial silks, Crossfit, Kick Boxing

Can't live without?

My Family and Friends, Music and all forms of dancing

Pole Files Interview 12: Valérie Blain Pole Dancer



It's been a while since our last interview, today we have Valérie Blain. A beautiful pole dancer but also someone who adds an extreme amount of personality to her dancing.
I am totally in love with some of her videos. Enjoying watching they are great. 
So lets hear from Valérie!!!







Quick bio.

I am an actress and theatre teacher for 15 years . When I turned 30 I tried an exercise that would keep me motivated and I discovered the pole fitness through a television reportI immediately fell in love with the sport that was totally unknown in Montreal and I worked hard to make it knownI opened Studio 409 in spring 2008 and since then I meet and work with wonderful women.



How long have you been doing pole dancing?

6 years

The moment you realised you love pole dancing?
  
The first time I touched a pole, and I remember that  I was certain it would become very important in my life.

Describe your style.

Certainly unique! As I am an actress, I love making videos and interpret the characters, touch and make people laugh. It's like a pole theatre. In my studio, I like my students to feelimportant. We work hard but always with humor and love. 

Favourite move?

Always the one I just finally succeed!



Tools of the trade, what can’t you live without when pole dancing?

Alcohol and powder ... for the pole, not for me!


Any hobbies or passions outside of pole dancing?

I love animals, arts and spending time with my family.

Can't live without?

The love and support of my family. I still need to learn something new to feel alive...and my chiropractor!


Growing up I wanted to be a.....

An actress but I never thought doing theater around a pole! 

Favourite things of all time: Feel that I can make a difference for someone and a good coffee with a friend. 

Movie:  American beauty

TV Show: Six feet under

Musician:  I like some songs in particular, they must inspire me and touch me

Song: Billi Jean is my song!

Book: My favorite book for many years is "Pulling Your Own Strings" by Wayne W. Dyer and of course my mother's books who is an author of children's psychology.

Food: Indian and healthy food.
